Situated just north of Tunbridge Wells this area has provided a considerable amount of varied work over the years. Recently a call out to a terraced house in an ordinary road but with a heavy infestation of fleas.

These are an unpleasant pest species causing distress and irritation, although I don’t deal with so many now as I did over thirty years ago, due I believe to improved vet products offering better more thorough treatments to pets.

Once the occupants and their pets were out of the house, I could commence spraying the floor areas, not just the edges of rooms but the entire surface area, to carpets, rugs, mats and bare wooden floorboards. The modern use of laminate flooring has made life difficult for the use of insecticides.

Once good coverage is made a drying time of about four hours on average follows after which people and pets can re-enter the property, no vacuuming should take place for the following two weeks, then a good result is usually attained for that season.

Cats cause more of this problem than any dog and nowadays it is usual to continue treating the pet throughout the year.
